According to local sports wagering regulations, the state allows 20 licenses, but only issued 18 when the industry launched. Since launch, the state’s tribal licensees reached their maximum allocation at 10 while the event arena locations have been issued 8 of the 10 available licenses.

However, following the closure of Fubo sportsbook, there is now one vacant tribal license alongside the two remaining commercial licenses for event locations.

The Dept. of Gaming has stated that applications of interest will be accepted from July 14th while the application window itself will run from August 1st to 15th.

Fees for each license are set at $750,000 of which $100,000 must be paid when lodging an application.
