Boyd Interactive has agreed a deal to acquire Resorts Digital, the online gambling operations of Atlantic City’s Resorts casino.
Speaking to the associated press, Mark Giannantonio, president of Resorts, said that the deal had been agreed earlier this year and was finalized on September 1st but stopped short of releasing any financial details.

The two companies will take part in cross-promotion, with Resorts showcasing the ResortsCasino.com brand at its physical casino location, while ResortsCasino.com will promote Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City to its online audience.
Resorts Casino will also maintain its partnerships with other online gambling platforms, including DraftKings, Penn Gaming, PokerStars, and ESPNBET.

According to the company’s most recent reports to the New Jersey Division of gaming Enforcement, online operations have outperformed land-based operations by a significant amount in the first eight months of 2024. Those reports reveal that Resorts Digital generated $573 million, five times the $109 million in revenue that the casino resort generated during that time.
