Denmark’s gambling regulator, Spillemyndigheden, has received approval from the Copenhagen City Court in its bid to block 49 unlicensed gambling websites that were targeting the Danish market.

“We are constantly trying to optimise our efforts against illegal gambling, and one of our latest initiatives is, among other things, to block illegal websites more often than before. This means that the illegal sites are active in Denmark for a shorter period of time, because the sites will be blocked sooner after we have identified them.”
Spillemyndigheden began blocking illegal gambling websites in 2012. Since then, 276 have been successfully blocked and no longer have access to the Danish market.
