At that time the company was warned about its activity and assured the KSA that it would no longer allow Dutch players to access its gambling services.

During a recent follow up check, the KSA discovered that while access to the original Winning Poker Network website was closed to players in the Netherlands, it was possible to sign up for a new account at another website belonging to the same provider.

As a result, the KSA has issued a formal financial penalty warning to Winning Poker Network. The warning states that if the company continues to offer players in the Netherlands the opportunity to play at an unlicensed website, it will be subject to a fine of €25,000 per week up to a maximum of €75,000.

Since the start of 2023, the KSA has issued fines totaling €8.5 million while total fines for 2023 across the global gambling industry have now reached over €26 million.
