Dutch Gambling Regulator Issues Financial Penalty Warning to Winning Poker Network

According to a KSA announcement, in September 2022 Winning Poker Network was found to have allowed players in the Netherlands to access its unlicensed online poker products and services. At that time the company was warned about its activity and assured the KSA that it would no longer allow Dutch players to access its gambling services.

As a result, the KSA has issued a formal financial penalty warning to Winning Poker Network. The warning states that if the company continues to offer players in the Netherlands the opportunity to play at an unlicensed website, it will be subject to a fine of €25,000 per week up to a maximum of €75,000.

Since the start of 2023, the KSA has issued fines totaling €8.5 million while total fines for 2023 across the global gambling industry have now reached over €26 million.
