There has been a 31% year-on-year increase in the number of 16 to 24-year-olds signing up to GAMSTOP during the second half of the year. This accounted for 21% of all new registrations, an increase from 17% in the same period in 2022.
55% of those who registered opted for a five-year exclusion from gambling with the remaining 45% opting for between six months and a year.

During late 2022, GAMSTOP announced that it had partnered with The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) and RecoverMe, a gambling addiction self help app, on a tour of UK universities.
