An investigation carried out by the KSA found that in October 2021, when Holland’s iGaming industry became fully legalized, Holland Casino’s online gambling website featured links that led to information on the location of the company’s land-based casinos.
According to the Netherlands Remote Gaming Act, advertising of this nature is prohibited on Dutch iGaming websites.
Holland Casino Warned for Breach of iGaming Advertising Regulations Holland Casino Warned for Breach of iGaming Advertising RegulationsHolland Casino is a monopoly license holder for land-based casino games in the Netherlands. This license is separate from its iGaming license meaning that the KSA treats the company as two separate entities for both land-based and online gambling products and services. Once the infraction was pointed out, Holland Casino took steps to remove any links to land-based properties or information relating to them from its iGaming website. For this reason, the KSA has issued a warning only with no financial penalty.
According to the KSA press release, the decision could only be published now due to pending procedures.
