Illinois sportsbooks reported a combined sports betting handle of $509,794,591 for the 28 days of February for the first month-over-month decline since sports betting launched in July of 2020.
The latest report from the Illinois Gaming Board shows that bettors placed an average of $18.2 million in bets per day. This marks a slight drop on January’s average of $18.8 million per day.

Illinois gamblers placed $371,128,813 in wagers on professional sports, $137,244,067 on college sports, and just $1,421,710 on motor sports.
DraftKings in partnership with Casino Queen remained the market leader with $199.8 million in combined online and retail wagers representing 39.2% of the state’s total handle.
