DraftKings Dominates Market as Indiana Sports Betting Handle Tops $254M for Month of May

The Indiana Gaming Commission has released its latest monthly revenue report revealing that Indiana sportsbooks posted a sports betting handle of $254,445,226 for the month of May — a 7.1% increase on April’s handle of $236,403,308.

While the industry has surged somewhat in the last few months, May’s figure is still well short of the record handle of $348,244,676 set in January 2021.

However, despite a smaller handle than the Ameristar, Bluechip Casino posted the highest taxable adjusted gross revenue (AGR) with a figure of $7,673,122 over $3M more than the Ameristar’s taxable AGR.

The total combined AGR for May came in at $18,853,192. This generated state taxes of $1,791,053.
