The latest monthly revenue report from the Indiana Gaming Commission has revealed that the state’s licensed sports betting operators reported accepting $355.4 million in wagers in September, the highest figure reported so far in 2021.

This was an increase of 74% on the previous month’s reported activity. $130.3 million of Ameristar Casino’s wagers came through the company’s mobile betting app run in partnership with DraftKings. The casino’s other mobile sports betting partner, theScore, reported receiving $3.1 million in wagers while the casino’s retail sportsbook accepted bets totaling just over $5 million.
Blue Chip Casino followed in second place as both its retail and mobile sportsbooks accepted a combined $78.1 million throughout the month. The casino’s partnership with online operator FanDuel saw mobile bets totaling $77.2 million placed through its app while retail bets amounted to $905,324.

The start of the NFL season saw football take over as the most wagered on sport in Indiana as sportsbooks accepted $148.5 million in wagers on the NFL. Meanwhile the next most popular sport was baseball, with just $52 million in wagers placed on the MLB throughout the month.
