The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has released its latest monthly revenue report revealing that the state’s licensed sportsbooks reported a sports betting handle of $111,176,670.99 for the month of June. This is the second month in a row that Iowa’s handle has dropped by 3% following May’s handle of $114,882,963.30.

The latest figures mark a sharp decline in betting activity since the state’s sports betting operators posted a handle of $161,439,561.27 in March.

The Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino was the market leader with a handle of $19,533,077.84 for the month accounting for 17.5% of the total handle. The Diamond Jo Dubuque Casino sportsbook followed up with a handle of $15,262,423.68. The state’s lowest handle was once again posted by Q Casino taking in $505,952.84 in wagers.

The Ameristar II was the retail leader once again with a handle of $4,860,065.67 while the Prairie Meadows online sportsbook took in the most mobile wagers with an internet handle of $19,004,896.34.
