Kansas State Governor Set to Sign Sports Betting Bill This WeekIt’s believed that a regulated sports betting market in Kansas could generate from $6 million to $10 million in state taxes while supporters are hopeful that the establishment of the market could help lure a professional sports team to the state. Kansas currently has no major league pro sports teams as the Kansas City teams including the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals are based in neighboring Missouri.
Once the bill is signed into law, sports betting in Kansas is expected to launch at some point in late 2022 or early 2023.
