The Maine Gambling Control Unit has published its rules to for the regulations of sports wagering in the state.
Despite the publication of the rules, the first sports bets at retail sportsbooks or through mobile sports betting apps may not be accepted until January 2024. This would make it the longest period between the enactment of legislation and a sports betting launch in any US state.
