Gambling industry legal action
Malta Gaming Authority Suspends Genesis Global's Gambling License of Genesis Global Limited  making it the third company to face such an action from the Maltese gambling regulator.

This decision follows undisclosed violations of the Gaming Compliance and Enforcement Regulations in the region.

Malta Gaming Authority Suspends Genesis Global's Gambling License, Sloty.com, Casinojoy.com, Spinit.com, and Genesiscasino.com. As a result of the suspension, the company is required to settle all outstanding payments to the MGA and its players within a week from the date the suspension was ordered (January 11). The company must also provide proof of compliance with this directive.

Genesis Global Limited has also run afoul of the UK Gambling Commission in recent times. In 2022, the UK Gambling Commission imposed a £3.8 million fine on the operator, along with additional licensing conditions, after identifying major lapses in social responsibility and anti-money laundering practices. This action was a result of an extensive inquiry by the UKGC, which initially led to a temporary suspension of the company’s license in July 2020 due to compliance issues.

The Malta Gaming Authority earlier ordered Rush Gaming to cease all business-to-consumer operations in Malta. This followed the authority’s decision to end its association with Betago.
