The latest revenue report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board reveals that the state's sports fan wagered $206.3 million during the month of July, a drop of 20.5% from June.

Online sportsbooks accepted $188 million in wagers throughout the month down 20% from June’s figures. FanDuel was the leader once again with a 29% share of the online sports betting market. DraftKings tightened the gap during July to secure a 28% market share, a significant improvement on June’s market share of 24% against FanDuel’s 33%. BetMGM followed not too far behind with a 22% share of the online market while Barstool came fourth with only 7%.

Retail sports bets amounted to $18.3 million at Detroit’s three commercial sportsbook located in the city’s casinos. This was a 25% drop on June’s handle.

This was the third month in 2021 that Barstool has led the retail market with FanDuel leading in the other three months of the year so far.
