Christopher Lafanette, Dorian Earl Miller and Robert Nastasi of Blazer5 Gaming, Kimanni Ingram of Jazz Gaming, and Zekirri Dennis of Mavs Gaming were found to have placed bets on NBA 2K League games. Some of the bets were made by other individuals on behalf of the players.
All five players breached betting rules by not disclosing to the league that they had placed wagers. The league also stated that none of the five cooperated with the investigation.
Blazer5 Gaming coach Andrew Maxie and player Marquis Gill were also disqualified. However, while there was no indication that either individual placed wagers, they did not cooperate with the investigation nor did they report violations when they became aware of them.
Speaking of the ban, league president Brendan Donohue said:
NBA 2K League Bans Six Players and Coach for Breaching Gambling RulesAll seven individuals have been disqualified indefinitely.
