According to local news reports, the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) has placed multiple Iowa-based college athletes under investigation for alleged gambling violations.
As a result of the investigation, Iowa withheld several of its baseball players from playing on Friday of last week. At the time, Iowa released a brief statement saying:
