According to the statement, the online gambling operators had placed advertisements in public places such as billboards and bus shelters. This is now prohibited as all forms of untargeted advertising for online gambling products and services are no longer allowed.

The ban is intended to limit exposure to minors or vulnerable groups such as problem gamblers. This means that any ads that can be viewed by the general public are no longer permitted. This includes radio, TV, and billboards in public spaces. Advertising in private places that can be accessed by the general public such as arcades, cinemas, and cafes is also prohibited.
