In what was the state’s first billion-dollar month since February 2020, Nevada’s casinos collected $1.066 billion in revenue for the month of March. According to the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s monthly reports, this was the state’s highest single-month total since February 2013.

The 2021 NCAA March Madness basketball tournament saw a significant increase in sports bets with Nevada sportsbooks posting a sports betting handle of $640.7 million. This was a 354.3% increase on March of 2020. Total revenues amounted to $39.3 million which is a significant improvement on last year’s loss of $37.9 million.
