The latest revenue report from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has revealed that New Jersey licensed sportsbooks accepted over $1.2 billion in wagers during the month of December.

New Jersey became the first state to accept over $1 billion in bets in a single month in September of 2021 and continued to break the $1 billion threshold for the remainder of the year. October saw the state set an all-time record as sportsbooks accepted over $1.3 billion in wagers during the year.

Revenue for the month of December came to $59 million from a 4.8% hold, the lowest revenue reported in a billion-dollar month. This marks a significant drop of 48.6% from the previous month when a record $114.8 million was reported.
