Acme Fresh Market and Kroger are just two supermarket and grocery chains that have applied for a license to operate sports betting in their Ohio retail properties.
Ohio Sports betting to launch in Ohio on January 1st 2023
According to legislation signed into law in 2021, the supermarkets are just two of the many local businesses that are entitled to apply for sports betting licenses alongside bars, restaurants, and bowling alleys. House Bill 29 states that these types of businesses can apply to install sports betting kiosks and have been pre-approved by the Casino Control Commission.

Currently the limit on payouts for lottery winnings is $600.
