The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has announced that it has approved the issuance of four fines totaling $73,075 to three gambling license holders.

Pennsylvania Gambling Regulator Fines Parx and Live! Casinos, four consent agreements which were presented by the Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC) were approved during its public meeting. The consent agreements were a direct result of negotiations between the OEC and the license holders who were found to have breached licensing conditions.

  • $20,000 for allowing two people who were on the Board’s Casino Self-Exclusion List gamble on the casino gaming floor.
  • $10,000 for allowing a person under the legal gambling of age of 21 to play slot machines.

  • $18,075 for failure to submit two license renewal applications on time.

  • $25,000 fine for not providing the PGCB with ownership structure changes relating to its VGT locations.

This brings the total fines for 2023 to $407,649,084 (€388,245,716). Gambling industry fines in 2022 came to $269,532,490 (€251,712,034) – a significant increase of 443.9% compared to 2021’s total of $48,642,992 (€44,753,969).
