Parx Casino PA
Pennsylvania Approves License for New Parx Casino that it has voted unanimously to award a Category 4 casino license to Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, owner of Parx Casinos.

The board made the decision following a lengthy application and bidding process that started back in February 2018. Greenwood Gaming’s winning bid of $8,111,000 will see the company open a casino in a former Lowe’s Home Supply store located in Shippen Town Center.

The new Parx Casino Shippenburg will be a 73,000 square foot venue with 500 slot machines, electronic tables games, and a sports bar and restaurant. There is also hope that a retail sportsbook will open in the venue at some point in the future but there are no definite plans as of yet and any launch would be subject to regulatory approval.
