The new vertical is backed by high-profile investors including professional poker player Jeff Gross.

On the addition of Jeff Gross to the team, David Woodley, CCO and CRO at Playmaker said:

As part of the announcement Playmaker also revealed that it has partnered with the AFFL to launch its Speed Survivor SMS game for the NFL season. The free-to-play text game is a quiz game played through SMS where the last player wins a grand prize. It was first launched during the NBA draft.
