The UK Gambling Commission has published its latest report on the local gambling industry revealing that online gross gambling yield (GGY) for Q2 23-24 came to £1.2 billion.

- The number of spins increased 11%.
- Average monthly active accounts up by 11% to 3.8 million.
The report also shows that online slots sessions which last for longer than an hour increased by 4% compared to the same quarter in the previous year. However, the average session length dropped to 17 minutes while around 7% of all online slots sessions lasted for more than an hour.

The Gambling Commission has also announced that the UK Secretary of State has appointed seven Commissioners to the Gambling Commission. The commissioners took up their roles the 11th of September 2023.
