Sports betting in Vermont was officially signed into law by state Gov. Phil Scott following legislative approval in June of 2023.
Vermont Online Sports Betting Launches with Three Sportsbooks LiveLottery Commissioner Wendy Knight stated that the first 12 hours of sports betting saw around 7,000 people fully registered across all three sportsbooks. Total wagers for the period averaged around $15,000 per hour.
According to Knight, mobile betting is expected to generate approximately $7 million in revenue for the state in its first year of operation.
