UEFA has fined AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic €50,000 for his association with betting firm Bethard and warned the player against any future investments with gambling companies while he is still actively involved in football.
In an announcement released on the UEFA website, the European football governing body stated that Ibrahimovic had violated Article 12(2)(b) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations (DR), for having a financial interest in a betting company.

Ibrahimovic’s club AC Milan has also been fined €25,000 for the breach and warned to keep a closer eye on any relationships its players may have with companies that could cause a conflict of interest.
