The Canadian Senate’s Banking, Trade and Commerce Committee has referred sports betting bill C-218 back to the Senate following two days of debate and testimonies. The Senate will now sit for a final reading of the bill before voting on approval.

The latest monthly sports wagering revenue report from the Oregon State Lottery reveals a sports betting handle of $27,780,213 for the month of May. This marks an 8.9% increase on April's handle of $25,323,061 making May the biggest sports betting month since February and the third highest handle of 2021. 

A High Court Judge has ruled that administrators can begin the process of paying out funds belonging to customers of Football Index after their accounts were frozen following the collapse of the platform earlier this year.
