Mobile sports wagers accounted for 93.1% of all sports betting activity as online sportsbooks accepted a new all-time high of $463.3 million in wagers during the month. This beat the previous record set in March 2021 by 28.8%.
MotorCity Casino led the online market with a handle of $123.9 million for the month, a jump of more than $40 million from the previous month. September’s market leader, Bay Mills Indian Community, was just behind with a handle of $120.4 million.

However, qualified adjusted gross receipts for the month dropped by 23.6% compared to the previous month. This resulted in state taxes of $99,977 and $122,194 in retail sports betting taxes paid to the city of Detroit.
