The Oregon Lottery has released its latest monthly revenue report revealing that the state-run Scoreboard sportsbook reported a 50% increase in sports betting activity as Oregon gamblers wagered over $37.6 million during the month of October.
Oregon's Scoreboard Sets All-time Monthly Sports Betting RecordThe return of the NFL continues to attract Oregon gamblers to Scoreboard as this month they placed 546,114 individual bets worth over $15.4 million. This was an increase of 58.8% from the previous month. The sportsbook’s win margin of 6.38% saw gross gaming (GGR) directly attributed to football betting rise to $984,901 almost double the amount generated in September.
Basketball replaced baseball as the second most popular sport at Oregon sportsbooks attracting 205,170 individual wagers worth over $9.8 million. With a significant win margin of 9.2%, GGR from basketball betting amounted to $824,758 for the month.
Overall, Scoreboard accepted 1,122,359 wagers for the month, an increase of 46.8% on the previous month. This resulted in GGR of $3.02 million during October, a 141.6% increase on September’s figures.
