The latest monthly revenue report from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has revealed that operators posted a sports betting handle of $420,193,377 for the month of June.

Pennsylvania Sports Betting Handle Tops $420M as Handle Drops for Fifth Month in a Row from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has revealed that operators posted a sports betting handle of $420,193,377 for the month of June. The latest handle marks a 6% drop on May’s handle of $447,465,027 and the fifth month in a row that PA sportsbooks have seen a decline in wagering handle.

Although June represents the lowest handle of 2021, revenue increased to $42,495,332, a 13.5% increase on May’s revenue figure of $37,419,313. After handing out promotional credits totaling $8,269,812, operators posted combined taxable revenue of $34,225,520. This yielded the state $11,636,677 in taxes, $2.2M more than the previous month.

Meanwhile, retail sportsbooks reported a handle of $40,925,617 up slightly from May’s retail handle of $40,066,274. This generated revenue of $4,936,810 which resulted in state taxes of $1,678,515.
